Jonathan Strahan was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He is an editor, podcaster, critic, and publisher. Strahan co-founded Eidolon: The Journal of Australian Science Fiction and Fantasy, and was the co-publisher of Eidolon Books. He has edited or co-edited more than seventy anthologies and twenty single-author story collections published in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Strahan has won the World Fantasy Award, the Aurealis and Aurealis Convenor’s Awards, the William Atheling Jr. Award, the Ditmar Award, and the Peter McNamara Achievement Award. Strahan is currently the Reviews Editor at Locus Magazine, and a consulting editor for Tor.com where he acquires and edits original novellas and short fiction. Strahan also produces and co-hosts the award-nominated Coode Street Podcast with Gary K. Wolfe. Strahan lives in Perth, Western Australia with his family.
